2001 - 2004

Contracted by Wärtsilä (as engineer/advisor) for preparation and basic engineering of Gas Booster System for conversion of Diesel Power Station and engines to Natural Gas Firing. 350 bar Natural Gas Compression System with all required auxiliaries and Civil Works.

Responsible (for SFL early 2002) for the E-ON-Benelux project @Maasvlakte-Holland. This project consisted of two boilers, one HRSG behind GT Frame 6FA and one Direct Fired Boiler, each 120 t/h, 64 bar, 380 °C. Both boilers were supplied under PED. Responsible for all contacts with Client and Authorities. Arranged the certificates in close cooperation with Quality Department. The boilers were commissioned during 2003 and during the first half of 2004 I have finalised a variety of (warrantee) claims to sub-vendors and client.

As Project Manager, contracted by SFL, responsible for HRSG-project for Enron Teesside Operations Ltd. Have negotiated with the Client (and its Lawyer) the procedure and text for Suspension, and tuned into the right (legal) format. Collection of the technical and commercial details and preparations for settlements with all vendors.

 

1999 - 2001

As a Project Manager, contracted by Wärtsilä-The Netherlands, responsible for the EPC-Contract for Natural Gas Underground Storage in Carriço-Portugal. This project ran under ATEX and PED. Two Gas-engine driven Compressor Units (Ariel), pressure approx. 185 bar, zone 2 hazardous area classification. Handling all contacts with Client, Inspection Authority, Engineering Contractors (Pulsation/Vibration Study) and compressor manufacturer.

Familiarised with high pressure (natural) gas compression systems and air compression systems and became familiar with ATEX in gas compression business, in the meantime kept feeling with introduction of PED.

Advisor and Claim Manager for Forger Bouw,-Nieuwegein regarding faulty delivery of Panel Manufacturing System by sub-vendor. Restrictions found in the purchase order cleared the way to settle the differences by review of FME-Committee.
